I agree with Thomas, the music is universal - language should not stop people from liking or discovering Najoua's universe I myself like to listen to arabic music, italian, spanish, peruvian, etc. and I don't understand the words but the music and melody takes me away

YES of course! I agree as well, obviously because French isn't an official language in Australia, but that doesn't stop people learning and loving French and other languages as well. And what better way to help your learning and love for a language than to listen to a singer's beautiful music It's definately helped me, I love French more than ever!! I also think that in a world that's rapidly becoming globalised, more cultures are easily accessable to more people... :110:

I think Najoua could really be an internationally reknowned singer if more people got out to experience their world more... so we need to help spread the love

Sometimes I discuss about music with my friends, what we like, dislike… I have shown Belyzel’s “Quand revient l'été” some time ago to friends (very nice song for me ) But it has made no impression. Just “nice” song of “unknown” singer. The problem is not in language itself. It is because Belyzel looks here like, how to say it more exactly, “one of a million” foreign singers. I think it is needed to launch entertainment industry machine to make some singer really popular in some country: TV shows, interviews, advertisements, magazine publications, live performances, etc.

What about languages. I heard many times from many people who listen foreign music such kind of opinion: “When I did not know language and could not understand what the song is about, I liked it, but when I learned language (or got translation) I was often disappointed and stopped to love the song ”
So sometimes knowledge of language can make more negative effect than positive

Yes, there were few more songs discussed. Unfortunately one opinion about Gabriel was quite negative. Even I was little surprised that such song was Najoua's and France No 1 some time ago The songs which were described as "interesting" and "catchy" were Je ferme les yeux and L'écho du bonheur (I like them too ). This is all opinions which I managed to got then. It cannot be discussed each song in details with people who are not attracted by suggested music. Anyway it is just opinion of 2-3 people what is not representative
So, of course, music taste is very individual. Lets keep fingers crossed and hope that Najoua will be international star very soon
