Hi everyone!
My name is Ashley. I'm brand, spanking new to the forum lol
If I knew French, I would try to translate and hear more about Najoua, but since I don't, I'm in the confines of the English forum (merci Joël!). Maybe it will help me understand french Smile

I'm learning words from listening to Najoua as well as wandering her web sites and forums like this one

Anyway, I bet you all want to know (if you are reading this) how I got on to Najoua? I don't even remember, I think I was GOOGLE-ing and came across Gabriel while trying to find something else. I watched the video, and felt amazed at her voice. She has a great gift.

So then I heard Comme toi. And then it continued.

My favorite is rentrez aux USA. As an American who feels like we should be concentrating on our own country and not invading others, the song fell deep to me and it's so beautifully written. I didn't read the English lyrics until way later, so to have a song in french hit me the way it did, it put me in awe. Beautiful.

Anyway, I have AIM and MSN messengers, always free to talk more, and hopefully will remain not only a loyal fan of Najoua, but an active member on here Smile

Here's hoping our next president will handle the situation the right way. He or she has a tough job ahead.

I love Gabriel too! I read the lyrics literally at first, as some sort of prayer or question to an angel; I later found out that another way of reading the lyrics is a straight woman professing her love for a gay man. I think this interpretation makes the song more poignant. It's her greatest song imho, at least until her next album comes out.
